XDSL Ltd is a Hungarian Company focusing on bradband-access related professional services. Our collegues have thorough experience in designing, deploying and maintaining high availability broadband access network systems.

Professional services enable telecommunication (and other) companies adapting broadband-access services smoother, faster with minimal investment and long term profitability in mind.

'Broadband access' is a set of several technologies, including

• ADSL, xDSL access
• Cable-tv
• Ethernet to the home
• Virtual Private Networks
  and other access technologies used today or being designed for tomorrow

We aid You in the following areas:

• Broadband equipment testing (like measurement setups, debugging)
• Commercially prosperous broadband-access setups (helping you to find the most suitable platforms and equipments for your scenario)
• Auditing broadband systems
• Management systems (connectivity solutions, RADIUS, database, web-interface)
• Survey privacy considerations on your site

We do NOT (currently):

• Dig or blow holes into concrete or the ground
• Lay down kilometers of wires

Our partners can choose from different kind of cooperation schemes, the one that best serves their needs:

• Remote consulting
• Occasional services
• Partner-specific contract

Remote Consulting

This scheme is best suitable for companies that have their own broadband-access research and development software engineering and testing laboratory. They usually have well founded directions on their development. This service can save these companies time and money in several situations:

• Discussing their plans (remember that our secrecy guidelines apply to this service as well!) might reveal that further improvements or cost savings are possible (it happens in very matured designs as well)
• Temporarily they run out of human-resource and want to outsource some (usually well defined) parts of their project
• When running into some puzzling weird problem that seems time consuming to solve. XDSL Ltd Hungary's collegues might have seen similar problem earlier, or can provide some efficient way to help spotting the exact cause of the problem or make up some workaround if that seems most applicable.

This service does not raise any geograpical limitations (except that exporting strong crypto technologies is still illegal to some countries). This service is available via email (occasionally chat) or telephone. Prices can be as low as $39/man-hour for our regular customers. This might be a cost-efficient entry solution to pave the way for further cooperation. Many custumers are best served by an initial $780, 18 man-hour service which can be extended later if needed. However many problems can be solved in 20 hours, eg. building a 1000 connection PC based pppoe acces pool, given that your collegues can do basic ATM and Linux-kernel-config, compiling stuff and you have sufficient ATM card and other needed equipments.

Occasional services
This scheme is best suited for European (not only Hungarian) companies that want to consult broadband professionals occasionally. Personal contact allows better cooperation with management and technical crew thus tighter schedules. The price for this is travelling and acomodation.
approximate prices for this service:

• $370/day (includes 9..12 hours of work: consulting/project-coordination or software engineering/programming)
• appr. $100..300/occasion for travelling (usually tourist class flight or driving .. depends on distance from Budapest)
• $30 .. 100/night accomodation
• this can be combined with the remote-consulting (thus 1 ore more consultants travel to the site and 1 or more helps him/them via internet) if applicable. This can cut travel costs and still be very efficient many times. It is not absolutely needed to decide about this in advance, usually it can be arranged 'on-the-fly' as demand arises.
• please make sure you inform us if you do not have fulltime internet connection on the site

If the above schemes are not suitable for one reason or another the best solution might be a Partner specific contract. For turnkey solutions this is probably the most applicable. The possibilities are too numerous to list.
